Moreover, the University of Calgary offers a high-quality educational experience that prepares students for success in life, as well as research that addresses society’s most pressing issues.

Benefits of scholarship programs

Scholarships offered by the University of Calgary can be classified as follows:


The University of Calgary offers a $20,000 International Entrance Scholarship (renewable).

Criteria for scholarship selection:

Candidates must meet all of the requirements below to be considered for the University of Calgary Scholarship:

  • It is necessary to speak English.
  • Countries eligible: All nations of the world

Calgary University International Entrance Scholarship:

  • Awarded annually to international undergraduate students who have satisfied the university’s English Language Proficiency requirement and will enter their first year of a bachelor’s degree in the upcoming fall term. Renewable in the second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary, provided recipients maintain an overall GPA of 2.60 or higher over 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms and continue paying the international differential tuition fee.
  • Non-Canadian citizens or permanent residents who must pay a differential fee
  • An outstanding academic record.

The scholarship is for undergraduate students

The method of application

Applying for this scholarship is as simple as following these instructions:

Applicants to the university’s undergraduate program must follow these steps:

  • It is now possible to start your application. Create your UCalgary eID first.
  • You can use the application guide to help you prepare your application.
  • The application fee of $145 must be submitted along with your application.
  • You’ll find out how to submit any required documents in your Calgary Student Center once we receive your application. You can find more information on the documents page.

To apply for a scholarship, follow these steps:

  1. Your Student Center can be accessed through myUofC.
  2. Go to the “My Financials” page in your Student Center.
  3. Then, scroll down and click on “Apply for Undergraduate Awards”. Make sure pop-ups are enabled on your browser. Popups cannot be blocked if the page is displayed.
  4. The open applications or recent closed applications will appear in a pop-up window. Keep in mind the application availability and application deadline dates.
