The Canadian International University of British Columbia Scholarship Grants for 2023

Submission Deadline: January 15, 2023

Awesome deal! The University of British Columbia is pleased to present the 2023 Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship Award in Canada to all deserving applicants.

The Karen McKellin Foreign Leader of Tomorrow Award recognizes international undergraduate students who succeed in a variety of critical areas, including academics, leadership, involvement in extracurricular activities, and community service.

Your degree of financial need has a substantial bearing on the value of this Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award. By totaling up your tuition, fees, and living costs, you can determine how much money you and your family may give each year. Based on the financial information that you and your family have provided, a typical needs analysis is constructed.

If you retain your Canadian study permit, demonstrate ongoing financial need, and keep up a strong academic standing in your faculty, your scholarship may be renewed for up to three more years of undergraduate study or until you get your degree, whichever comes first (student visa).

Criteria for Selection and Entry Requirements:
For the Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Study Award, the following criteria must be met:

You must be an international student who has been granted a study permit to study in Canada.
You must be transferring from your first year of a post-secondary college or another university, or you must be attending UBC from a recognized secondary school.
You must have completed high school no sooner than June of the two academic years before the one for which you are applying. For instance, candidates for the class of 2022 must have completed high school no sooner than June 2020.

Your application for your first undergraduate degree must be submitted.
You must show that you have achieved academically (achieve all As or equivalent standard).

The English Language Admission Standard as well as general and degree-specific criteria are among the prerequisites for admission to UBC.
Method of Application
The application period for the academic year 2022 is now closed. Applications for 2023 will open soon.

You must be nominated by your school or nonprofit organization and submit a reference from an academic referee in order to apply for the International Scholars program.
